Meet The Team
Our Story
Since its inception in 2006, Laureen, Brett and the LBG team have had the pleasure of working with architects and home-owners, building and project managing many complex high-end residential homes.
Originally Auckland-based, LBG have built many fantastic architectural homes in Parnell, North of Auckland and Queenstown before changing focus to Coromandel construction.

Four Generations of Builders
The Goodgers have building in their blood. Brett’s grandfather Joe and father Ted were both builders, inspiring Brett to also become a builder in the 1990s after initially working in the horse racing industry for twenty years. It seems inevitable that Brett’s son Cameron would then also become a builder, and indeed he is currently working on his apprenticeship with LBG Builders. These years of building experience allow LBG to provide high quality craftsmanship, thanks to the wealth of knowledge that comes with working in an industry for over eighty years.

‘We Don’t Just Build’ – Both Brett & Laureen enjoy being part of their community and giving back.
Brett has recently started tutoring apprentices based in Coromandel in order to support their progress with their BCITO apprenticeship paperwork. He helps the apprentices to connect their on-site learning with the course theory.
Laureen has been involved with RYALT working with teenagers to grow their reading and literacy ability.
